The Call to Action
In every generation there’s a move of the Spirit where the Lord does something new, something Innovative, something nontraditional. From calling Abraham out his family, to the arrival of Jesus, to now.
They are generally two options that one can take when the Lord pours out new wine.
Options one: we attempt to receive the new wine in old wine skins. The old way of doing things, with the mindset that this is the way it has always been done. The Scripture tells us this way leads to both the new wine and the old wine skins being destroyed.
Option two: we allow the Lord to pour New wine into New wineskins. This way both are preserved.
Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.” - Matthew 9:17
